Nature route

The starting point is the promenades and the gardens that stretch out along the sandstone cliffs that line the shore. Breathe in the fresh salty air and continue towards the Iris reserve located in the southern part of the city. In the Iris Reserve one can find hundreds of argaman (purple) irises (Iris atropurpurea) which bloom in February and March. Across the road is a winter pond surrounded by eucalyptus trees where water-fowl spend the winter. The Winter Pond Park is made entirely of wood and includes entertainment and sports facilities for children. From there one can continue to the Poleg reserve and Poleg River and end the tour in park Yakum with the Yakum reserve. The park offers many family activities.
