A square between Jerusalem Street and Dizengoff
2021
Meet the new kikarona in Netanya- an artistic performance in a square which is located at the meeting point of Jerusalem and Dizengoff which was created by the veterans during the lockdown.
The birds are made of clay and resemble big hope for the decline of the Pandemic and the clearance of the sky upon the arrival of spring. Each bird colorful and beautiful is the bird of the soul who created it.
The initiative for the veterans was the idea of the Municipality of Netanya and the Culture Center. The project was led by the artist Irit Cohen Raz and the Head of City Center management Alvit Freund as an enriching activity in order to ease loneliness during lockdown days.
