This year, as in previous years, Independence celebrations are expected to attract tens of thousands of celebrants to Netanya – a city that hosts a host of leading artists for the enjoyment of its residents and guests.

This year, the 69th Independence Day celebrations will take place in Netanya on Monday, May 1st, in several locations around the city, the main one being the Winter Lake Park at 21:00. Those who arrive at the park will enjoy fireworks alongside performances by Ma Kashur, Adi Beatty, Guy & Yahel, Ana Aref, Nachi Nitz, DJ Itzik Tamano and DJ Erez Shitrit.

Free shuttles for the benefit of the general public will leave from all over the city, starting at 20:00

20:00 The new Independence Square will also draw, as in previous years, tens of thousands of celebrants to enjoy Jewish music and performances by the best of beloved stars. The city’s children are invited to enjoy the show “Yotam and Mika Celebrating Independence”, from the “Nofico” show by the Netanya children’s artist, and the children and youth star Daniel Moreshet who will perform at the central stage. Immediately after him Yarden Gropi from Idan Raichel’s project, singer Shaked Komemi and beloved singer Keren Peles with all the hits will perform on the main stage in the Square. Shai Hambar will host the celebrations in the Independence Square and will sing several songs.

23:30 At the end of the performances, a mass dance into the night will take place in the plaza square with the instructor Yaron Carmel.

20:00 Daniel Moreshet will continue to delight Netanya’s children throughout the city. Alongside his appearance at Independence Square, he will also arrive at the stage at the Sportek Yahalom in East Netanya where he will meet the favorite children’s stars from the “Hop” channel show – Power of rhythm. The families and children who will arrive at the site outside the Ir Yamim shopping mall will also enjoy the successful performance of the “Hop” channel show – Power of rhythm and the performance of Michal Tzafir, as well as performances by dance groups and a fireworks show…

20:00 Those who come to Gan Ovadia will also celebrate with joy as on the stage will perform Ido Jerufi and Lior Farhi, alongside the children’s show “Sweet Maayan”, performances by local bands and a fireworks show.

On Independence Day, Tuesday, May 5th, the Netanya City Museum will be open between the hours 9:00-12:00 and will offer free admission to the city’s residents and visitors.
