The Memorial Day for Israel's Fallen Soldiers

At this time, as we approach Memorial Day for Israel’s Fallen Soldiers, volunteers from the city’s high schools are distributing memorial candles and Psalms books to the homes of the bereaved families in Netanya, for the elevation of the souls of the fallen soldiers. Included with the memorial candles are letters of support for the families from Mayor Miriam Fierberg Ikar, Chairman of Bet Yad Labanim, Danny Avrahami, and head of the bereaved families association, Raziel Mari.

“This memorial candle,” writes Fierberg in her letter, “serves to symbolize the memory of someone dear to you and us, a fallen soldier”.
