A Twin City agreement was signed on 30/10/94 by Mayor Tzvi Poleg.
The City of Nowy Sacz is the historic and tourist center of Sądecczyzna County and is the capital of the Sądecki district. Nowy Sacz boasts 700 years of history and traditions, and has become one of the most spectacular tourist attractions in Poland due to its location between forested mountains alongside three rivers in the valley basin: Dunajec, Poprad and Kamienica. 85,000 people reside in the city, which has become the center of tourism, culture and economy in South East Poland. Two different City Halls exist side by side, one, at the city center, is 100 years old, and the other one is located at the Ethnographic Park Sacz in the area of Little Galicia. Around the buildings are 30 other buildings and squares, with Poland Square serving as a popular meeting spot hosting many national, cultural and religious events.
