In keeping with the instructions of Mayor Miriam Feirberg Ikar, who is working diligently to renovate Netanya, improve accessibility and quality of life in the city, a professional and multidisciplinary team prepared a new parking plan that was approved by the City Council. The plan responds to the needs of residents and visitors in terms of parking options.
The detailed plan to upgrade parking throughout the city emphasizes meeting the needs of Netanya residents, provides convenient parking options for employment zones, entertainment and leisure areas, responds to Netanya’s student population, senior citizens and all visitors to the city, which is the metropolis of the Sharon region.
By implementing the plan, traffic will flow through the City Center, benefitting the bustling business activity in the city.
The new parking and enforcement plan will enter into effect on May 1 and covers Sundays-Thursdays, from 8:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., Fridays and holiday eves from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., and on Saturdays and holidays along the beach (aside from Netanya residents).
The new parking plan was created according to the following principles:
Increasing the number of parking spaces
Preference to Netanya residents
Additional preference for the student population, senior citizens and people with disabled parking permits
Free parking for residents in two parking zones
50% discount for residents in a third parking zone
Residents in well-defined parking zones are entitled to receive two parking permits for their family
Parking permits are valid for 3 years
The plan divides the city into 5 parking zones
Zone 1: City Center, the areas where the curb is painted blue and white
Streets: Kikar Ha’atzma’ut, Gad Machnes, Karminian, Ussishkin, Kakal, Hamatmid, McDonald, David Hamelech, Hama’apilim, Bialik, Harav Kook from the promenade to Bialik, Rishin Letzion, Tiferet Banim, Sha’ar Hagai, Stampfer, Hibat Tzion, Smilansky to Sderot Yerushalayim, Dizengoff, Remez, Hanote’a, Meirowitz, Sderot Binyamin to Remez, Sha’ar Ha’emek, Gordon to Sheshet Hayamim, Shmuel Hanatziv to Solomon, Hameyasdim, Sderot Weizmann to Sheshet Hayamim, Yahalom, Sapir, Zangwill to Sheshet Hayamim, Barkat, Raziel to Sheshet Hayamim, Aharon Barth, Shoham, Lilienblum, Geva, Alon Tzvi, Hess, Ahad Ha’am, Pinsker, Herzl.
According to the new plan:
• Residents who live on these streets (and do not have private underground parking) are entitled to two parking permits per family. The permit is contingent upon possession of a Zone 1 resident sticker.
• All Netanya residents, with a resident sticker, are entitled to a 50% discount on parking.
• Nonresidents – pay the full fee.
Zone 2: New parking zone in the City Center
Streets: Petach Tikva, Yehuda Halevi, Dr. Schreiber, Levontin, Avraham Shapira, Tahkemoni, Ben Eliezer, Sderot Binyamin (from the corner of Remez southward), Sderot Yerushalayim, Hagalil (from Sderot Yerushalayim southward), Hagilboa, Brodetsky, Hashiva, Rosh Pina, Hacarmel, Tchernichowsky, Zamenhof, Yair, Hanegev, Abu Shadid, Ahimeir, Proops, Ben Yehuda (from Sderot Yerushalayim southward), Fichmann, Sderot Hen, Jabotinsky, Carlebach, Zangwill from Sheshet Hayamim to Moshe Shapira, Be’eri, Imbar, Moshe Shapira, Weizmann (from Sheshet Hayamim to Brenner), Brenner, Andreas, Frumkin, Shmuel Hanatziv (from Solomon to Brenner), Solomon, Hahistadrut, Frumkin, Rivlin, Harav Kook (from Bialik to Andreas), Hahashmonayim.
According to the new plan:
• Parking is free on these streets for all Netanya residents with a resident sticker.
• Nonresidents – pay the full fee.
Zone 3: Along the beach, the Sportek and Winter Lake Park
Streets: Sderot Nitza, Hama’apilim, Dankner, Baruch Ram, Sderot Oved Ben Ami, Hof Argaman, Winter Lake parking lot, Sportek parking lot, Kiryat Hasharon.
According to the new plan:
* Parking is free on these streets for all Netanya residents with a resident sticker.
* Nonresidents – pay the full fee (on Saturdays and holidays as well).
* Nonresidents will be able to purchase hourly or daily parking in the parking lots in this zone.
* Enforcement will be performed in this zone on Saturdays and holidays as well.
Zone 4: Kiryat Sapir Industrial Zone From the Shalom Aleichem Bridge north and south
Streets: Hatzoran, Hamada, Hamechkar, Hamachshev, Hagavish, Giborei Israel, Gad Manela, Hamelacha, Hatrufa, Ira Regev, Yad Harutzim, Habonim, Haomanut, Hayetzira.
According to the new plan:
• All Netanya residents, with a resident sticker, are entitled to a 50% discount on parking.
• Nonresidents – pay the full fee.
• In this zone, people will be able to purchase hourly, daily or monthly parking (subject to approval of the Ministry of the Interior).
Zone 5: Kiryat Eliezer Industrial Zone
Streets: Degania (from Hakadar to Shechterman), He’amal, David Pinkas, Ha’oreg, Hamasger, Hakadar, Hashayish, Shechterman, Ort, Hanagar, Harechev, Hamerkava, Ha’orazim.
According to the new plan:
• All Netanya residents, with a resident sticker, are entitled to a 50% discount on parking.
• Nonresidents – pay the full fee.
• In this zone, people will be able to purchase hourly, daily or monthly parking (subject to approval of the Ministry of the Interior).
Additional benefits for Netanya residents:
• Senior citizens over the age of 75 are entitled to a free citywide parking permit for NIS 18 a year.
• Students who live and study in Netanya are entitled to a free citywide parking permit for NIS 18 a year.
• Holders of disabled parking permits are entitled to a temporary parking permit for the entire city while waiting for a new car.
Enforcement hours:
• Sundays through Thursdays from 8:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
• Saturdays from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
• On Saturdays, parking will only be enforced in Zone 3 (from 8:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., including holidays).
Resident sticker and Zone 1 resident sticker
• Residents who live in Zone 1 are entitled to buy a Zone 1 resident sticker for NIS 18. The sticker is valid for 3 years. The sticker can be purchased from the Parking Authority at 8 Tel Hai Street, when open to the public: Sundays through Thursdays from: 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
• All Netanya residents are entitled to purchase a resident sticker (that grants all of the parking rights throughout the city) for NIS 18 (instead of NIS 25). The sticker is valid for 3 years. The sticker can be purchased from the Business Licensing Department at 22 Weizmann Street, when open to the public: Sundays – Thursdays from 8:30 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.
• Remember: To enjoy the parking benefits throughout the city, you must have a resident sticker.
• To get your Resident sticker and Zone 1 resident sticker, bring your identity card, valid vehicle license, valid driver license, municipal tax payment form, residents who rent – bring your rental contract.

• Pango – cellular parking system (Pay by phone parking)
• Easy Park – electronic parking
• Cell O Park – cellular parking system (pay by phone parking).
• Parking meters will only be placed in parking lots.
We also recommend that you obtain a resident’s card, which provides a variety of discounts and benefits to Netanya residents.
Netanya Municipality offers a variety of discounts and benefits to residents who hold a resident’s card, available for NIS 10 a year or NIS 25 for three years.
