Winter Lake Park, located in southern Netanya, is one of the city’s most unique nature and recreation areas. At the heart of the park lies a natural basin that fills with rainwater each winter, creating a picturesque seasonal lake. The lake’s size and duration vary from year to year depending on rainfall, offering visitors a different natural landscape every winter.
The seasonal lake attracts a rich variety of wildlife and wetland vegetation. During the winter and spring months, visitors can observe water birds, amphibians, and many other species, making the park a popular destination for nature lovers, photographers, families, and outdoor enthusiasts.
Surrounding the lake is a beautifully landscaped park featuring modern children’s playgrounds, outdoor fitness facilities, walking and jogging paths, cycling trails, spacious lawns, and designated areas for events and recreational activities.
The park is also home to Netanya Skatepark, one of Israel’s largest and most advanced skateparks, offering facilities for skateboarding, scooters, and roller skating.
At the end of February and in early spring, visitors can also enjoy the nearby Iris Nature Reserve, where the rare Argaman Iris comes into bloom. The scenic bridge overlooking the reserve provides spectacular views of the flowers and the surrounding landscape.
