The Vikar Observatory is a large shaded balcony that rises above the Mishmar Hasharon Reservoir, which is about 1 million cubic meters. It absorbs the flood waters in Nahal Alexander and is used for storage and filling of additional reservoirs. Around the reservoir is a beautiful ornamental garden with a lawn and flowers attracting butterflies and insects. In the garden is an accessible path that climbs up to the elevated Vikar Observation Point and the shaded roof offers a wonderful view of thousands of birds during the migration season.
