Bournemouth is a coastal resort town in Dorset County in England. The city’s population is 163,000 people, making it the largest city in Dorset County.

The city was founded in 1810 by Lewis Trengonwell and has developed into the most popular tourist destination in the southern shores of England. Additionally, the city is a center for business and education and constitutes the main part of South-East Dorset (it is the largest town in South England – between Southampton and Plymouth.)

The city’s population has dramatically increased. There were 17,000 residents in 1880 and 70,000 residents by 1900.

The town also frequented by authors and artists, having become their favorite resort. In the 20th century entertainments such as cafes, theaters, cinemas with art-deco designs and hotels developed.
