Hanukkah

Netanya celebrates Chanukah holiday with a variety of activities for the whole family in the New Independence Square, the Municipal Culture Center, Planetanya – Science, Space and Culture Center, the Netanya Museum and the city’s neighborhoods.

Candle lighting and distribution of donuts will take place in the New Independence Square every evening during the holiday at 6 pm by Chabad House, alongside a variety of special performances, a performance by the Sitar Music School hosted by Yoni Roe on Chanukah’s eve, the ensemble of the saxophones of the municipal conservatory and the dance studio ” Dancing Class”, Valentina Dance Studio, Polina Pitrov’s Vocal Star Parade and Wish Choir, Nitzan Choir, etc.

On Friday, December 27, a spectacular happening for the whole family will take place at Herzl Street Mall with juggling and street performers, a drumming complex, menorah preparation and more.

At the City Cultural Center will take place the spectacular annual “Or Havazalot” show that will host the ILAN dancers with the participation of 200 dancers (tickets at the box office, phone 09-8308111)

Cultural lovers will also enjoy a fascinating new exhibition following their favorite book “Alice in Wonderland” – the exhibition will open on Friday, December 20, at the Cliff Gallery.
The Tremolo Percussion Center will hold a unique performance at Beit Yohanan on Sunday, December 22 at 5 pm. There will also be an energetic performance with authentic Spanish and Cuban music.

Another cultural activity in memory of Yossi Banai will take place on December 23 at the Culture Center -singer Orit Arieli at a tribute show, screening the film “Enlighten Yossi” and meeting with the director Kobi Faraj (tickets at the Culture Center box office).

In the north of the city there will be a spectacular visual show combining elements of lighting, light, ultraviolet, fire and cabaret dancing, pyrotechnics, circus and acrobatics. Tickets through the Department of boroughs and neighborhoods.
