The Netanya Artists Association

The Netanya Artist’s Association is composed of individual artists, creating and expressing themselves pluralistically according to their individual and personal concepts, techniques and talents.

Our role is to create a common denominator in order to encourage the artist members to participate in our activities and to form a communal entity in spite of the individual differences.

During the years of it’s existence, the Association has succeeded:

  • In obtaining recognition vis-à-vis the Municipality as the representatives of the Artists in Netanya.
  • To maintain a functional organizational framework.
  • To organize collective activities for its members, including exhibitions.
  • To have at its disposition several exhibition spaces, such as The Gallery on the Cliff on the sea promenade, the Galleries situated in the new Town Hall building and The Saquella Art Café situated next to the Municipal Cultural Centre.

The activities of the Association include

  • An Annual group exhibition, open to all members. A jury of external judges (artists and/or art curators) choose four recipients of the Mayor of Netanya’s prize for Excellency in Art. Also presented by the Association are prizes in various categories.
  • An exhibition of the Mayor’s Prize Winners from the previous year.
  • An Annual Curated exhibition with a central theme.

As well as these activities, members participate in exhibitions outside Netanya, an introductory exhibition for new members in the Association is held each year, we promote individual exhibitions, print catalogues and invitations relating to various exhibitions, hold weekly workshops in drawing and modeling from life models, prepare and circulate a monthly news bulletin by email or post to all the members (in Hebrew, French and English).
